Did You Go To College?

Luke:  "Mom, Did you go to college?"

Mom:  "Yes."

Luke:  "Are you sure you went to college?"

Mom:  "Yes, honey, why?"

Luke:  "I was just wondering, because your handwriting is HORRIBLE."

Mom:  "Ha, Ha, Ha!"

Oh Billy!

We recently got a Wii for Christmas.  I do believe Matt and I enjoy it just as much, if not more, than our kids.  We have 2 games, Wii Sports and Deca Sports.  In Deca Sports, you get to choose a player from various premade teams as opposed to creating a Mii in Wii Sports.  Luke ALWAYS without fail selects Billy Boost Force.  I am not sure why.  Matt was ice skating (our new favorite Wii sport) one night.  He took over for Luke so Matt's skater was who other than Billy Boost Force.  In ice skating there are circles you have to follow and you lift up on the remote when your skater hits the center of the larger circles in order for the skater to perform the skating element.  As Matt was skating Billy around the ice he lifted up the remote a little too early which caused Billy to fall down on the ice.

Matt: "Oh, Bull!"

Luke:  "Dad, his name is Billy, NOT Bull!"

Put up the Book!

We were all sitting at the dinner table one night, quite a rarity, and Luke was reading Harry Potter.  He is very intrigued with reading these books lately.  He started them MLK weekend and is already 3/4 of the way through book #3.  I asked him to put the book up while we were eating so we could have a family meal together.  This was his response:

"Rock and Roll"

Matt came home from work late tonight and five minutes later I noticed something out our front window---it was toilet paper blowing from a tree branch.  Someone had wrapped our house with toilet paper.  My kids are not quite old enough for that yet, so I have no idea who did it.  I think some kids may have gotten the wrong house and probably meant to wrap our neighbors' house.

Luke was up unbeknownst to me reading secretly in his bed with the closet light on.  He heard Matt and I talking about it.  He ran downstairs and out the front door and screamed,  "Oh yah baby, Rock and Roll!  We got wrapped!"

When I was growing up we wrapped people's houses we really didn't care for-at least I think.  Let's hope that has now changed.  So that all being said, thanks to those who wrapped our house--you made my kids day!  Now if you could just come back tomorrow and help us clean it up :)

Guinness Book of World Records

Luke received the 2009 Guinness Book of World Records book for Christmas this year.  My kids have enjoyed reading the book and looking at all the records set by different people throughout the world.  Individually they have all been really trying to figure out how they can set a record and make it in the book.  Today, I think Kyle might have had the funniest one yet.

He was lying on the floor in our front room.  I told him he had to make his bed before he could play the Wii.  He said that was impossible because he really had to go to the bathroom.  He then blurted out, " I know, I can set the record for the smallest man holding his pee the longest".  I don't think Kyle will set that record because of our good friend Shep, who truly should be in the Guinness Book of Records for the "smallest man holding his pee the longest"!
